You’ve spent your life becoming who the world could accept.
You’ve worked hard, held it together, played the part, been the strong one.
And somewhere along the way, you stopped being true to yourself.

Not all at once. Quietly. Slowly.
Every time you swallowed the truth.
Every choice that looked good on paper but hollowed you out inside.
Every time you betrayed what you knew just to be tolerated.

The Loyal Self is what happens when you realize the voice you've been ignoring is your own. When you finally choose to stop leaving yourself behind.

This book isn’t here to inspire you.
It’s here to confront you with the one question most people never ask:

What would your life look like if you were finally loyal to the truth of who you are? No matter what it cost you?

I’d like to introduce my manuscript, The Loyal Self. This book is about something almost all of us do. We look outside of ourselves for the things we can only find within ourselves. We think the right relationship, more success, more money or finally becoming the person we want to be will make us feel okay. The Loyal Self is about learning to pay attention to what’s happening inside of you instead and understanding how your thoughts, emotions, body and nervous system are shaping the way you experience your life.

The completed manuscript is 255 pages with a word count of 75,966. I look forward to providing you with additional information and the full manuscript upon your request. (One thing worth mentioning is I finished writing The Loyal Self in 2023, without the use of AI. Every word of the manuscript was written by me.)

Thank you for your consideration,

Susan Roderick

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Susan doesn’t write from her mind. Her words come through her, not from her. Her work doesn’t come from theory. It comes from paying attention to her own life, asking a lot of questions and trying to understand why we think, feel and act the way we do.

She writes about the things we feel but don’t always know how to explain, and helps people see patterns in themselves they may have never noticed before.

Her work isn’t about telling you how to live your life or giving you another list of things you need to fix about yourself. It’s about helping you understand yourself better, because once you can see what you’re doing and why you’re doing it, you have a choice.

She has the rare gift of turning insight into visceral clarity. She makes the invisible obvious. She speaks to the parts of you that never had the words but always knew.

She’s not here to offer empty inspiration or surface level advice. She’s here to challenge the way you see yourself and show you what becomes possible when you stop living as a version of yourself and start being loyal to yourself.
